In 2008, Sir David Brailsford led Great Britain to an astounding 14 Olympic cycling medals in Beijing. Indeed, from 2007 to 2017, the British Cycling team won 178 world championships and 66 Olympic gold medals. By 2018, they had gone on to take home 6 Tour de France victories. 

Much of the success of the British Cycling Team is attributed to Sir Brailsford’s use of ‘Marginal Gains’ theory.
